So, to usher in the Lunar Year of the Dog, I have selected an item which cost me only $2.50 from my usual flea market. The real reason I took it was because I liked its colour combination. It was an oversized long-sleeved dress that badly needed an overhaul. The outer piece is made of chiffon and the inner piece is made of polyester.
Initially, I could not decide on a design for the new dress but after I have ripped the seams and ironed the cut-out materials, it became much easier for me to assemble the pieces together to form the ultimate dress that I was after.
It took me a week to work on the dress and another couple more weeks to embellish it, which I never thought would ever end. Phew!
Finally, when the dress is completed and once I put it on, I couldn't be happier. I doubt I have ever seen anything like it before.
Who could tell that this was a cut-and-paste project, if I had not disclosed the facts?
I can proudly say that you cannot find this item anywhere. 💃🐒👌🙋
